Game Calculations By Pegasus Airlines -
http://cyberairlines.net/forums/showthread.php?tid=3604
1. Passenger amount on board -
The passenger amount on board is being determined by 4 things in the game - AIRLINE RATING, PLANE CONDITION, AIRLINES BASED IN DESTINATION and CITY RANK*.
AIRLINE RATING
Rating Between 0 - 15 -> 40%
Rating Between 15 - 30 -> 30%
Rating Between 30 - 60 -> 35%
Rating Between 60 - 100 -> 40%
Rating Between 100 - 180 -> 45%
Rating Between 180 - 300 -> 40%
Rating Between 300 - 500 -> 40%
More than 500 rating -> 45%
PLANE CONDITION
Condition Between - 100 - 97 -> 15%
Condition Between - 97 - 94 -> 12%
Condition Between - 94 - 90 -> 10%
Condition Between - 90 - 85 -> 7%
Condition Between - 85 - 80 -> 5%
Condition Lower Than 80 -> 3%
AIRLINES BASED IN DESTINATION
Between 0 - 10 Airlines -> 2%
Between 10 - 20 Airlines -> 4%
Between 20 - 30 Airlines -> 6%
Between 30 - 40 Airlines -> 8%
Between 40 - 50 Airlines -> 10%
Between 50 - 100 Airlines -> 12%
Between 100 - 200 Airlines -> 14%
More than 200 Airlines -> 16%
CITY RANK*
Rank Between 0 - 10 -> 17%
Rank Between 10 - 30 -> 15%
Rank Between 30 - 60 -> 13%
Rank Between 60 - 100 -> 11%
Rank Between 100 - 150 -> 9%
Rank Between 150 - 200 -> 7%
Rank Between 200 - 250 -> 5%
Rank Between 250 - 300 -> 3%
Rank more than 300 -> 1%
Now the full formula is like this:
AIRLINE RATING% + PLANE CONDITION% - AIRLINES BASED IN DESTINATION% - CITY RANK%
* Cities are being ranked by the amount of incoming economy passengers.
This number is the maximum percent of passengers (from the total passengers on board an aircraft) you can have on board your aircraft when you start the game and without any improvements. The minimum percent is set to 10%, again this is when you start the game and without any improvements. So according to what this states the maximum passengers on board would be 57% without improvements.
2. Cargo On Board Passengers Planes -
The cargo calculation without any improvement is basically a random number between 0 and the max amount of cargo the plane can carry.
3. Cargo On Board Cargo Planes Only -
The calculation for cargo planes load is different than for passengers planes.
This is how it works:
(DISTANCE YOU FLY / 1000)*5 = The minimum percent of cargo on board.
Then the system pick a random number between the minimum percent of cargo on board and the maximum amount of cargo the aircraft can carry. The longer you fly = more cargo on board.
4. Rating For Passenger Planes -
This calculation is very simple -
(PASSENGER ON BOARD + CARGO ON BOARD + (FLIGHT DISTANCE * 2.9) ) / 240000
Regional Planes: Y+(Y*.15) (15% rating Boost)
Medium Range: Y+(Y*.25) (30% Rating boost)
Long Range: Y+(Y*.33) (45% rating boost)
If your flight doesn't make any money at the end of the route then your rating for this route will be 0 if it neither loses nor earns money or negative if it loses money.
5. Rating For Cargo Planes (is the statement that "If your flight doesn't make any money at the end of the route then your rating for this route would be 0" correct? I thought that in V3, you can get negative rating for a cargo flight just like you can for passenger flights.)-
( (CARGO ON BOARD / 11) + (FLIGHT DISTANCE * 2.9) ) / 240000
If your flight doesn't make any money at the end of the route then your rating for this route will be 0.
6. Ticket Cost -
The ticket cost is determined by the flight distance:
Distance Between 0 - 900 KM -> $0.215 Per KM
Distance Between 901 - 1500 KM -> $0.16 Per KM
Distance Between 1501 - 2500 KM -> $0.13 Per KM
Distance Between 2501 - 4000 KM -> $0.162 Per KM
Distance Between 4001 - 6000 KM -> $0.35 Per KM
Distance Between 6001 - 9000 KM -> $0.28 Per KM
Distance Between 9001 - 12000 KM -> $0.25 Per KM
Flight Longer Than 12000 KM -> $0.22 Per KM
Economy Class - PRICE PER KM * DISTANCE
Business Class - Economy Class * 2
First Class - Business Class * 2
7. Cargo Cost For Cargo Aircraft -
The cargo cost is determined by the flight distance:
Distance Between 0 - 1300 KM -> 260
Distance Between 1301 - 4000 KM -> 520
Distance Between 4001+ KM -> 702
DISTANCE YOU FLY / NUMBER YOU GOT FROM DISTANCE CALCULATION = Price Per KG
Now the system just does: CARGO ON BOARD * PRICE PER KG
8. Cargo Cost For Passenger Aircraft -
This is very simple: CARGO ON BOARD * 10
9. Repair Aircraft Cost -
X = 100 - CURRENT PLANE CONDITION
Now the calculation depends on the size of the aircraft:
Aircraft that can fly less than 5000 KM: X * 2000
Aircraft that can fly between 5000 and 9000 KM: (X * 2000) * 2
Aircraft that can fly more than 9000 KM: (X * 2000) * 3
If you repair your aircraft in your home city you will receive 25% discount on the repair price.
10. Slots Cost -
Purchasing Slots: The first slot (the one that you get when you create your airline) cost $200,000. After that each slot cost $60,000 more than then one before that, it means that the second cost $260,000, third $320,000 and so on.
Selling Slots: When purchasing slots cost you $60,000 more on each slot, selling a slot will cost you $30,000 less on each slot, it means that if you purchase the third slot for $320,000 then selling it will give you $260,000.
11. Improvements for Passenger Planes:
A. Improvements affecting minimum passenger load:
Codeshare Deal:
Improvement Cost: $15,000,000
Rating Needed: 10.0000
Signing a codeshare deal with another airline will ensure more passengers on board your aircraft. Increases minimum passengers on board by 1%.
Daily Cost: $105,000
By adding this, your minimum passengers on board rises from 10% to 11%.
Frequent Flyer Program
Improvement Cost: $25,000,000
Rating Needed: 20.0000
Starting a frequent flyer program will ensure more passengers on board your aircraft. Increases minimum passengers on board by 2%.
Daily Cost: $175,000
If you buy this one after the codeshare deal improvement, your minimum passenger amount rises from 11% to 13%.
Travel Agency Deal
Improvement Cost: $40,000,000
Rating Needed: 35.0000
Signing a deal with a travel agency will ensure more passengers on board your aircraft. Increases minimum passengers on board by 3%.
Daily Cost: $280,000
If you buy this one after you buy the 2 above, your minimum passengers on board rises from 13% to 16%.
Travel Agency Company
Improvement Cost: $65,000,000
Rating Needed: 60.0000
Opening a travel agency will ensure more passengers on board your aircraft. Increases minimum passengers on board by 4%.
Daily Cost: $455,000
If you buy this one after the 3 above, your minimum passengers rises from 16% to 20%.
Having a codeshare with another airline:
Minimum Passengers/Cargo On Board: Codesharing with another airline will add 7% to the minimum passengers and cargo on board your and your codesharing aircraft. When you codeshare with an airline from the same alliance as your airline in you will get 9% add to the minimum passengers and cargo on board instead of 7%.
Earnings: When you codeshare with another airline, at the end of each route you and your airline will give each other 2% of the routes earnings. If you codeshare with an airline with the team color as your airline you will give each other 3% of the routes earnings.
So, if you have all the minimum passenger improvements and you codeshare with an airline who is not in the same alliance as you are in, your minimum passengers on board would be 27%, however, if you are codesharing with an airline who is in the same alliance as you are in and have all the minimum passenger improvements then your minimum passengers on board would be 29%.
